District Six Museum

This intruiging museum gives a background of the fascinating history of this community, from its once vibrant atmosphere to the forced 'resettlement' of its residents. After being declared a 'whites only' area under the Group Areas Act, its people were removed by force and their houses flattened by bulldozers.
